EXPLORE KHERMEN TSAV CANYON

In the far north-west of Omnogovi province thousands of years of erosion have formed the majestic Khermen Tsav Canyon made of red rocks. Khermen means "wall" and Tsav means "crack" and between the lowest point and the highest point of the cayon there is a difference of 1000 meters.The first dinosaur skeleton was found there. Scientists agree that 200 million years ago, the place was covered with an inland sea.
At the foot of these sand cliffs, the ground is completely covered with saxauls.

This very isolated area is not located on any of the classic tourist routes, but the reward deserves the effort: you will be alone in the world.
