The best season to go to Mongolia is between May and early October. In winter it is more difficult to travel because of the cold and the roads / tracks are less easy and it is more difficult to visit and meet the nomads who stay warm in the yurt!
SUMMERS
are quite hot and the temperature can reach up to +30 and winters are very cold averaging down to -35. Summer nights can be chilly. Although summer is the rainy season in Mongolia, the country enjoys relatively low levels of rainfall, your trip should not be affected by rainfall.
During the summer months the nomads are very busy preparing for the cold season and spend their days milking and making dairy products such as cheeses, creams, yogurts...

AUTUMN
from September until mid-October the temperatures are mild, it can be windy. The colors are yellow, ocher and it is the season of the last movements of the nomads in the steppe. The nomads repair the enclosures for the herds that will find refuge there during the winter.
It is the month of the Eagle Festival in Eastern Mongolia. Festival which will highlight the work and the passion of the khazaks for the eagles and which will consecrate the best of them.
